New Delhi, July 7 (NationPress) In a significant political development, Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, has made serious allegations against Dilip Jaiswal. However, leaders from the ruling BJP and JD(U) have staunchly defended the Bihar BJP chief, refuting Kishor's claims.
BJP National Spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan commented on the unfolding controversy, asserting that the situation appears to be more of a political maneuver rather than a genuine issue of concern.
"This seems more like a political stunt. What about the rule of law and the Constitution? If you truly believe you possess evidence and witnesses for cross-examination, then you should proceed to court. Misleading the public and politicizing the matter is inappropriate," he stated.
Similarly, JD(U) National Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan remarked, “Dilip Jaiswal has provided a detailed clarification regarding the allegations, elucidating the true circumstances. Prashant Kishor is adept at making sensational claims, but with Jaiswal's clarifications, these unfounded accusations have lost all validity.”
The allegations were brought to light during a press conference in Patna by the relatives of the late Sardar Moleswar Singh, the founder of Mata Gujri Medical College (MGM) in Kishanganj.
Accompanied by Prashant Kishor, the family asserted that Dilip Jaiswal had purportedly taken unlawful control of the minority medical college over the last 25 years, egregiously breaching the trust’s regulations governing the institution.
In response, the BJP’s Bihar media in-charge, Danish Eqbal, issued a statement on Sunday, categorically dismissing the allegations. He remarked that Kishor's assertions are entirely unfounded, malicious, and lack any factual basis.
Eqbal further alleged that the press conference was a calculated conspiracy aimed at tarnishing Dr. Jaiswal’s personal and political reputation.
