Patna, Oct 6 (NationPress) Following the Election Commission's announcement regarding the Bihar Assembly elections, the founder of Jan Suraaj party, Prashant Kishor, expressed his unwavering belief that his party is poised for victory this time around.
In response to inquiries from the press, Kishor detailed his party's electoral strategy.
“In the previous elections, both alliances collectively garnered 72 percent of the votes. This time, we anticipate Jan Suraaj will capture the remaining 28 percent. Various surveys indicate that both alliances will see a reduction of about 10 percent in their vote share, which will be redirected to us. Consequently, our projected vote share is expected to approach 48 percent,” he stated confidently.
Addressing those who dismiss Jan Suraaj as merely a 'vote-cutter' party, Kishor declared, “We wear this label as a badge of honor. We will siphon off votes from both alliances to the extent that they will face obliteration.”
Expressing his approval of the two-phase election schedule, Kishor remarked, “We have been thoroughly prepared, and with the exam date set, our anxiety has dissipated. Today signifies the end of the bondage for the citizens of Bihar. This time, voters will choose not for Modi, Nitish, or Lalu, but for the brighter future of their children.”
He elaborated on his vision, stating, “Our goal is to create a Bihar that attracts individuals from Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra for education and employment opportunities.”
Kishor also sharply criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting, “Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Patna Metro on Monday, and that was his final event. We have already asserted that next time, he won’t indulge in curd and chuda at the Chief Minister’s residence on Anne Marg.”
He commended the decision to conduct elections in two phases.
“Previously, elections were staggered over multiple phases to allow Narendra Modi to conduct numerous rallies. However, even the BJP now recognizes that Modi’s rallies will not significantly influence the outcome, hence the need for a swift election process,” he said.
In related news, Uday Singh, the national president of Jan Suraaj Party, also welcomed the election announcement.
“This time, elections will take place after Diwali and Chhath. Those returning home for the festivities will vote for change in Bihar,” Singh noted.
