New Delhi, April 27 (NationPress) As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, emphasized on Sunday that his party will not form any alliances with political parties. Instead, he invites individuals who seek change to join his movement.
In an interview with IANS, Kishor revealed that the party's statewide signature campaign will commence on May 11, addressing three critical welfare issues in Bihar. He firmly ruled out the possibility of political alliances, asserting that his party's only alliance will be with the people.
Kishor stated, "I am beginning my journey from Harnath. On May 11, we will officially launch our campaign centered on three vital issues for Jan Suraaj. Our team will visit every household in Bihar, engaging with the community directly."
The campaign will scrutinize the status of three significant government promises.
Kishor detailed that his party aims to gather public input on whether the 94 lakh families identified in the caste-based census received the promised Rs 2 lakh each, if Mahadalit and Dalit families were allocated the 3 dismil (decimal) of land designated for them, and whether the digitization of land records pledged during the land survey has been fully achieved.
"On these three issues, Jan Suraaj will initiate a campaign driven by the people. I will visit Nitish Babu's village, Kalyan Bigha, on May 11 and go door-to-door to collect public opinions. If people resonate with our concerns, I will gather their signatures for this movement," Kishor stated.
"If the government asserts that these promises have been honored, then there should be no hesitation in allowing the public to verify this," he added.
When questioned about future political alliances, Kishor firmly dismissed any such prospects.
"In the quest for change, Jan Suraaj will partner with the people. Those desiring change will ally with Jan Suraaj. There is no scope for collaboration with any party or political organization. Jan Suraaj will independently contest all 243 seats, with no alliances before or after the elections," he declared.
