Patna, May 22 (NationPress) During his ongoing ‘Bihar Badlaav Yatra’, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor conducted two public meetings in the Ekma Assembly constituency of Saran district on Thursday, reaffirming his demand for ‘complete systemic change’ in Bihar.

The gatherings were held at Janata Bazar Sports Ground in Lahladpur block and Lachhu Baram Baba Ground in Karanpura, Amdadhi.

Addressing the media, Kishor vehemently criticized Health Minister Mangal Pandey, stating, “We do not acknowledge him as Bihar’s Health Minister. When millions were stranded during COVID-19, Mangal Pandey was nowhere to be found. This betrayal should not be forgotten.”

Pandey is under scrutiny following a rat bite incident at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Patna, a few days prior.

Before engaging with the public, Kishor visited Gopaleshwar Nath Dham, where local residents symbolically honored him with laddus, showcasing their enthusiasm and backing.

He also criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of showing superficial concern for farmers only during election periods.

“After two decades in power, farmers still do not receive fair prices for their crops,” Kishor remarked.

Kishor condemned the widespread corruption in essential services like ration card issuance and land documentation, holding both bureaucrats and politicians responsible.

“Leaders and officials are brazenly accepting bribes while ordinary citizens endure hardship,” he asserted.

He urged voters to dismiss corrupt leadership: “In the upcoming elections, don’t cast your vote based on the faces of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar, or PM Modi. Instead, think about the future of your children. Vote for education, employment, and the people's governance in Bihar.”

Kishor’s Jan Suraaj initiative is gaining traction statewide, carrying a strong anti-establishment message.

His statements come as political activities intensify ahead of the assembly elections set for October-November 2025.

He commenced the ‘Bihar Badlaav Yatra’ from the birthplace of Jayprakash Narayan, Sitabdiara, in the Saran district.
