Patna, Sep 19 (NationPress) The head of the Jan Suraaj Party, Prashant Kishor, fiercely criticized the NDA leadership in Bihar today, making serious accusations against four prominent figures – Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Rural Work Minister Ashok Chaudhary, and BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal – alleging their involvement in corruption and fraud.
During a press conference held at the Jan Suraaj office in Patna, Kishor claimed to have uncovered new evidence showcasing financial misconduct and misrepresentation.
He asserted that between 2019 and 2020, a total of Rs 2.12 crore was deposited into the Punjab National Bank account numbered 1499000141819, which belongs to Mangal Pandey’s wife, Urmila Pandey.
Kishor alleged that the minister did not reveal the origin of these funds.
“Pandey claimed he borrowed Rs 25 lakh from his father to purchase a flat in Delhi. If that is accurate, how did Rs 2.12 crore land in his wife’s account? If this money was legitimate, why was it not disclosed?” Kishor, popularly known as PK, questioned.
He warned that if Pandey fails to clarify, he would disclose the details of the accounts from which the funds were transferred.
Kishor also accused Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary of frequently altering his name and manipulating official documents.
He alleged that Choudhary was initially named Samrat Kumar Maurya, later changed to Rakesh Kumar, and subsequently referred to as Rakesh Kumar alias Samrat Kumar Choudhary.
Kishor claimed that Choudhary was involved in the 1998 bombing of Congress leader Sadanand Singh, but evaded serious charges by presenting a false age certificate and claiming to be a minor.
Additionally, he pointed out discrepancies in Choudhary’s educational records.
“In a petition submitted to the Supreme Court, it was revealed that he failed his matriculation under the name Samrat Kumar Maurya. Yet, in 2010, he identified himself as merely a Class 7 pass. How could such an individual later claim to possess a degree and even a D.Litt.? The public deserves to know the truth,” Kishor emphasized.
Kishor argued that while the BJP criticizes RJD for its alleged jungle raj, its own leaders are not without blemish.
“A man who has been imprisoned for murder, falsified documents, and misrepresented his education is now the Deputy Chief Minister. This reflects the true nature of the BJP in Bihar,” he stated.
Kishor then shifted focus to JD-U’s Ashok Choudhary, labeling him Nitish Kumar’s right-hand man and Bihar’s most corrupt leader.
He alleged that in 2019, Choudhary acquired 23 katthas of land in Bikram, Patna, under the name of his personal secretary, Yogendra Dutt, who subsequently transferred it to Choudhary’s daughter, Shambhavi Choudhary, for Rs 34 lakh.
Initially, only Rs 10 lakh was paid; after receiving an Income Tax notice, an additional Rs 25 lakh was transferred in April 2025 to fill the gap.
Kishor also highlighted land acquisitions totaling nearly Rs 38.44 crore made between Shambhavi Choudhary’s engagement and wedding through the Manav Vaibhav Vikas Trust, which is linked to the family of the late bureaucrat Kishore Kunal.
He raised questions about money transfers between the trust and Choudhary’s family, scrutinizing the sudden increase in property acquisitions.
“If Ashok Choudhary is not involved, why were funds transferred from the trust to his wife’s account?” PK challenged, demanding explanations from those associated with the trust, including Anita (Kishore Kunal’s wife), former IAS officer Jiyalal Arya, and Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit’s mother.
Kishor also accused BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal of corruption and abusing his influence.
He alleged that Jaiswal obstructed the construction of a flyover in Bettiah for a decade to protect his family-owned petrol pump.
Kishor claimed that inflated bills amounting to Rs 5 crore were paid for municipal sanitation vehicles from that petrol pump.
Bettiah Mayor Garima Devi Simaria had already notified the Municipal Commissioner in August 2024, recommending the pump’s relocation and halting payments due to fraud.
“Sanjay Jaiswal’s father, Madan Jaiswal, was a respected figure. However, Sanjay has embezzled public funds. He has hindered development, profited from inflated petrol bills, and still threatens to imprison me. I assert, even across seven lifetimes, you won’t succeed in silencing me,” Kishor proclaimed.
Other Jan Suraaj leaders, including Vice President Y.V. Giri, State President Manoj Bharti, General Secretary Kishore Kumar, MLC Afaq Ahmed, and senior leaders Rambali Chandravanshi and Sudhir Sharma, also addressed the media, urging unbiased investigations into all allegations.
Kishor concluded by stating that these revelations demonstrate how NDA leaders are “deeply entrenched in corruption” while pretending to hold moral high ground.
