Patna, Sep 30 (NationPress) Following the serious murder allegations made by Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor against Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Rural Work Department Minister Ashok Choudhary, Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan emphasized that those implicated should address these accusations.
“Prashant Kishor has leveled numerous allegations against NDA leaders. It remains to be seen if he possesses concrete evidence or if these are mere assertions,” Chirag stated to the press on Tuesday.
In a comparison with political dynamics in Delhi, he noted, “We've witnessed similar political maneuvers when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made significant allegations before gaining power, yet failed to follow through on those claims.”
Chirag remarked, “I am uncertain whether Prashant Kishor is sharing factual information. Those named in the allegations must respond, as some have initiated defamation lawsuits against him.”
On Monday, Prashant Kishor accused Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary of involvement in the 1995 Tarapur massacre, which resulted in the deaths of seven individuals from the Kushwaha community.
Kishor launched a fierce critique of Samrat Choudhary, demanding his immediate dismissal and arrest concerning the 1995 murder case.
He alleged that Samrat Choudhary had altered his age in official records to evade conviction in the incident where seven members of the Kushwaha community were killed.
Kishor provided documentation asserting that in case number 44/1995, the accused was identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Samrat Chandra Maurya alias Samrat Choudhary, son of Shakuni Chaudhary, with a birthdate recorded as May 1, 1981.
This, according to Kishor, led the court to consider him a minor at the time of the incident, resulting in his release from jail.
However, in 2020, Samrat Choudhary declared his age as 51 in an affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, suggesting he would have been 26 in 1995, not a minor.
Kishor also claimed that Samrat Choudhary's name appeared in the Shilpi-Gautam rape and murder investigation led by the CBI.
He further accused Minister Ashok Choudhary of corruption related to multi-crore contracts. Both leaders have categorically denied these allegations.
