Hyderabad, Nov 24 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, announced on Monday that plans are underway to transform Kodangal into a prominent international education hub.
During a public meeting where he laid the groundwork for various development initiatives in his constituency, Kodangal, located in the Vikarabad district, he expressed his commitment to making the town the Noida of Telangana.
He further pledged to elevate Kodangal to a model constituency within the state.
According to the Chief Minister, the aim is to establish Kodangal as an educational center that attracts students from across the state.
He outlined several development programs, including the establishment of medical, veterinary, agricultural, paramedical, nursing, engineering colleges, integrated residential schools, junior and degree colleges, along with a military school in the Kodangal constituency.
Emphasizing that quality education is vital for enhancing futures and improving lives, CM Revanth Reddy noted that the government is currently providing breakfast to 28,000 students across 312 government schools in the Kodangal assembly constituency.
“We are dedicated to ensuring that no student experiences hunger and have initiated a program to offer mid-day meals through centralized kitchens. Just like mothers, our government prioritizes the well-being of students by supplying quality food,” stated CM Revanth Reddy.
He highlighted that the 'people’s government' places significant emphasis on education, irrigation, and the empowerment of women, asserting that the state's economic prosperity is contingent upon the happiness and dignity of women.
He mentioned that the government has rolled out multiple women empowerment initiatives to enable them to live with self-respect.
Initiatives like the distribution of fine rice, free RTC bus travel, and cooking gas cylinders at ₹500 have brought joy to numerous households, he said. Additionally, the government is engaging women’s groups in establishing solar power plants to compete with leading industrialists.
In terms of agricultural support, CM Revanth Reddy noted that farmers are voluntarily offering land for the Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project, which is expected to be completed in three years to enhance irrigation facilities.
The government is also focused on converting the Lagacherla industrial area into an international industrial hub. A long-awaited railway connection to Kodangal will soon be realized, with work on the railway line commencing within nine months, fulfilling a 70-year aspiration of the Kodangal residents.
Furthermore, he announced the establishment of cement industries within the Kodangal constituency, presenting it as a model for state development.
Reiterating that the “Indiramma Rajyam” will persist in the state for the next decade, the CM sought the backing of women for the holistic development of Kodangal and urged citizens to support worthy candidates in the forthcoming local body elections.
