This statement was made during a press conference in Gauribidanur.
"On June 4, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and RCB hosted a felicitation program for the RCB players. At precisely 11:29 AM that day, A. Shankar and E.S. Jayaram from the KSCA reached out to me and invited me to attend. I consented to their request.
"Following that, they mentioned inviting the Governor. Reports in media claiming that the Governor came independently are not accurate," CM Siddaramaiah stated.
"At that moment, Govindaraju, who was my Political Secretary, contacted the Governor and handed the phone to me. I also extended an invitation to him, mentioning I was going to the program and encouraged him to join," added CM Siddaramaiah.
"The Governor did attend the event, which finished in a brief 20 minutes," the CM noted.
He further expressed the need for clarification due to media reports suggesting that the Governor arrived uninvited at the Vidhana Soudha.
CM Siddaramaiah also revealed that Rs 25 lakh each had already been allocated to the families of those who lost their lives in a recent stampede.
In response to questions about alleged protocol breaches and disrespect toward Governor Gehlot during the felicitation at the Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar remarked on Monday that he was unaware of who invited the Governor to the event.
Reports indicated that the Governor was kept waiting on stage while Congress leaders appeared to overlook him in favor of taking selfies with the players.
Addressing the funding for Kannada development, CM Siddaramaiah asserted that any financial requests from the Kannada Development Authority would be met, ensuring that grants for Kannada development would not be denied under any circumstances.
On other matters, CM Siddaramaiah mentioned that there is a demand for the formation of a new district in Belagavi, and a decision will be reached after discussions with MLAs, Ministers, and MPs regarding this.
Responding to inquiries about public expectations from the upcoming Cabinet meeting at Nandi Hills, the CM stated that a meeting concerning Bengaluru's division is scheduled for June 19, and topics for discussion will be outlined then.
