The L-G remarked that KU graduates have the potential to act as catalysts for progress and development throughout India, particularly in J&K.
“They possess the ability to showcase the transformations that have occurred and identify the changes still necessary for a promising future in J&K. Not only the graduates, but also the current students of the University embody a remarkable human resource that must be engaged to foster a greater future for both J&K and the country,” he stated during the Mega Alumni Meet 2025 held at the campus.
According to the L-G, those who have succeeded in various sectors post-graduation from KU serve as the true brand ambassadors of this esteemed university.
He urged the distinguished alumni of KU to assist in internship and career placements for students, as they have reached a point in their careers where they can effectively aid in these endeavors across multiple fields.
“The entire alumni network of this university constitutes an extended family. I must mention Karan Singh, a distinguished alumnus who could not attend today, along with Ghulam Nabi Azad and Justice Magray, who are present,” he noted.
“I am confident that whenever any student mentions their Alma Mater, a distinct glow and pride shines in their eyes,” he added.
Following the alumni meet, the L-G expressed on X, “I am pleased to have addressed the alumni gathering of the University of Kashmir. I encourage our esteemed alumni to unite in fortifying higher educational institutions in J&K. With their knowledge and networks across various sectors, they should actively contribute to the peace and progress of J&K.”
