New Delhi, Oct 27 (NationPress) The National President of the Janshakti Janata Dal, Tej Pratap Yadav, expressed his disapproval on Monday regarding leaders who remain disconnected from the populace, stating, "They operate from air-conditioned rooms, evading ground-level responsibilities."
Tej Pratap elaborated to IANS, saying, "Those who shy away from grassroots work are ensconced in AC rooms. In contrast, those who are grounded stay in touch with the land, while we engage directly with the community."
When questioned about his decision to ride a motorbike instead of using an AC car to connect with the residents of Mahua, Tej Pratap responded, "I opted for a motorbike to reach my constituents, unlike leaders who prefer to travel in air-conditioned vehicles. My connection to the ground is why I came on a bike."
He further emphasized his developmental initiatives in the area, stating, "Previously, residents had to go to Patna for medical care, but now they can receive treatment right here in Mahua. I have dedicated my efforts toward their progress. The community seeks work and employment, but opportunities are lacking. We will build roads and emerge victorious."
Tej Pratap also mentioned, "Significant work has been done in Mahua; we lacked proper roads. We have undertaken developmental projects, including plans for a medical college."
As the eldest son of former Bihar Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, he has distanced himself from his father and brother, Tejashwi Yadav, signaling a clear divide within the well-known political family following his exclusion from the party and family.
Having served as Bihar’s health minister from 2015 to 2017 and winning the Mahua Assembly seat in 2015, Tej Pratap is now leveraging the stalled hospital project to address local issues and affirm his commitment to enhancing regional healthcare facilities.
The Bihar Assembly elections are set for November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
