Chandigarh, June 16 (NationPress) The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab, Sibin C, conducted a review of the preparations for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly bypoll, which will see 174,437 voters, including 84,825 women and 10 third-gender voters, participating on June 19. A total of 194 polling booths will be established across 66 locations.

Among these booths, there will be 10 model polling booths, one designated as all-women, one eco-friendly booth, and one managed by the Public Works Department (PWD).

Furthermore, 13 booths have been identified as critical, where paramilitary forces will be stationed. To assist seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with medical conditions, home voting was arranged, resulting in 239 participants.

Voting is scheduled to occur on June 19 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with vote counting commencing at 8 a.m. on June 23 at Khalsa College for Women in Ludhiana.

Security checkpoints have been established at 54 locations throughout the constituency, with ongoing monitoring by security personnel.
