Bhopal, July 25 (NationPress) Describing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the United Kingdom as a remarkable milestone, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Friday that Madhya Pradesh is poised to gain from this agreement in the upcoming years.
Chief Minister Yadav highlighted that industries such as agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, aviation, leather, plastics, electronics, and manufacturing are anticipated to experience significant advancement as a result of this deal.
CM Yadav also conveyed his sincere congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the significant achievement of finalizing the FTA between India and the United Kingdom.
"Under PM Modi's leadership, not just the impoverished, farmers, and youth, but the entire nation is filled with pride. This FTA will elevate India to new levels, not only in industry, trade, and employment but also in global diplomatic relations," he stated in an official press release on Friday.
CM Yadav further emphasized that initiatives like 'Make in India' and 'Vocal for Local' have greatly enhanced India's global reputation, and the FTA stands as a testament to the country’s increasing global prominence.
He also encouraged everyone to fully seize this extraordinary opportunity presented under PM Modi's guidance and strive to make Madhya Pradesh a developed state.
It is worth noting that India and the United Kingdom signed the historic free trade agreement (FTA) during a meeting in London on Thursday (July 24), attended by both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The agreement was executed by Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and his British counterpart Jonathan Reynolds.
In the meantime, to foster investment in the tourism sector alongside entrepreneurs, tour operators, and the hotel industry, Madhya Pradesh will host a two-day (July 26 and 27) regional tourism conclave in Rewa, as stated by a senior official on Thursday.
The event, taking place at Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on July 26, with attendance from Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla and Minister of State for Tourism Dharmendra Lodhi.
The conclave aims to stimulate tourism investment in Madhya Pradesh while promoting collaboration and partnerships among tourism entrepreneurs, tour operators, and the hotel industry, according to a senior official from the tourism department.
Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Shiv Shekhar Shukla, mentioned that investors within the hospitality sector in Madhya Pradesh will be honored during the conclave.
“This conclave is part of the preparations for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart set to occur in Bhopal in October. Similar regional conclaves will also be organized in Gwalior in August and Indore in September,” Shukla informed.
During this event, Chief Minister Yadav will launch the ‘PM Shri Tourism Air Service Booking Portal’ on the IRCTC platform.
