Mumbai, Oct 16 (NationPress) In an exciting announcement, Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde declared a special Diwali bonus for employees of three municipal corporations in Maharashtra.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and BrihanMumbai Electric Supply and Transport employees are set to receive a bonus of Rs 31,000 each, while those from Thane Municipal Corporation will be awarded Rs 24,500.
Additionally, employees at the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will enjoy a higher bonus of Rs 34,500.
Shinde emphasized that the respective Municipal Commissioners must expedite the distribution of these bonuses to the employees.
In a related announcement, the Minister for Cultural Affairs, Ashish Shelar, revealed that regular, contractual, and outsourced personnel affiliated with the Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation will also benefit from ex-gratia and incentive financial support during this festive season.
Shelar directed the Corporation's Managing Director, Swati Mhase Patil, to ensure the prompt implementation of this initiative.
As part of this, officials and employees will receive Rs 16,800 as ex-gratia and Rs 30,000 as a Diwali allowance, while contractual and outsourced employees will get Rs 15,000 each.
Moreover, employees at ND Studios under the Corporation will be gifted Rs 5,000 each to celebrate Diwali.
The contributions of regular, contractual, and outsourced employees are crucial for the Corporation's growth and overall operational success.
To acknowledge their efforts, the government has decided to provide ex-gratia and incentive support as a generous Diwali gesture, according to the statement released by Minister Shelar.
