Maha Kumbh Excitement: Tourism Ministry Engages Influencers

New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) In an effort to attract global tourists to the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025, the Union Ministry of Tourism is planning to collaborate closely with social media influencers, academics, researchers, photographers, and media outlets by establishing a toll-free Tourist Infoline (1800111363 or 1363), as announced by an official on Sunday.

Available in both English and Hindi, this toll-free Tourist Infoline also operates in 10 international languages, providing essential help, information, and guidance to ensure a more enjoyable experience for foreign visitors.

Additionally, the helpline offers support in various Indian vernacular languages, such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Assamese, and Marathi, according to an official statement.

The Ministry has established the Incredible India Pavilion, a vast 5000 sq. ft. area at Maha Kumbh, located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, aimed at assisting foreign tourists, scholars, researchers, photographers, journalists, the expatriate community, and the Indian Diaspora.

A significant social media campaign has been initiated to generate excitement around Maha Kumbh 2025. Unique hashtags like #Mahakumbh2025 and #SpiritualPrayagraj are being utilized to inspire individuals to share their experiences and moments from the event.

Social media contests and collaborative posts with organizations such as ITDC, UP Tourism, and other entities are enhancing the event's visibility and inviting people to experience this spiritual celebration.

The Ministry of Tourism has partnered with key tourism stakeholders, including the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC), IRCTC, and ITDC, to provide a variety of curated tour packages and luxury accommodation options.

ITDC has arranged 80 luxury accommodations at Tent City, Prayagraj, while IRCTC is also offering luxury tents to accommodate the influx of pilgrims and tourists. These packages will be accessible through a digital brochure that has been widely distributed to Indian Missions and India Tourism Offices for broader outreach.

A comprehensive photoshoot and videography project is also underway to capture the magnificence and spiritual essence of the Maha Kumbh, with visuals set to be shared extensively across both international and national media platforms, highlighting the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh and showcasing Prayagraj as a significant spiritual and cultural destination.
