Chennai, Nov 1 (NationPress) Director Kalaiarasan Thangavel, whose newly launched Tamil film Aan Paavam Pollathathu has made a significant impact at the box office, stated that the motivation behind this film was to highlight the challenges men encounter in relationships today.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Kalaiarasan Thangavel shared, "While brainstorming the narrative with Vigneshkanth and Sivakumar Murugeshan, our screenplay and dialogue writer, we noticed that most films focused on women's perspectives regarding relationships. This led us to the idea of showcasing the male viewpoint as well. With valuable contributions from Rio and our team, we developed this film."
The film, which has received acclaim from various audiences, illustrates how women sometimes misuse protective laws, leading to disruptions within families.
'Aan Paavam Pollathathu' addresses critical themes in relationships, including the misuse of legal protections such as the Domestic Violence Act of 2005.
Kalaiarasan Thangavel also shared insights about how his crew united to navigate financial challenges, completing the film in just 33 days. "Initially, we aimed to finish in about 45 days, but due to budget constraints, we reduced our timeline to 35 days. Our team's dedication allowed us to wrap up in 33 days instead," he explained.
This film, resonating well with audiences and cinephiles, stars actors Rio and Malavika Manoj in leading roles along with RJ Vigneshkanth, Sheela, and Jenson Dhivakar in significant parts.
The story, screenplay, and dialogue for the film were crafted by Sivakumar Murugeshan, who is anticipated to make his directorial debut with 'Thaai Kelavi'. The cinematography is handled by Madhesh Manickam, with music composed by Siddhu Kumar.
