Pune, May 15 (NationPress) The Maharashtra Animal Husbandry department introduced a counselling-based transfer system for Livestock Development Officers and Assistant Commissioners on Thursday, with Minister Pankaja Munde presiding over the event. The initiative seeks to guarantee a fair distribution of personnel throughout the state while ensuring transparency in the transfer process. This concept was proposed by the minister herself and was officially launched on Thursday.
On this day, a total of 118 officials from tribal and Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, along with 444 officers from other regions, were granted transfers to their chosen locations.
“I am incredibly pleased to witness the creation of another historic moment. To uplift officers' morale and enforce a corruption-free policy, I opted to implement transfers in the Animal Husbandry Department through counselling. This approach will continue to be in effect going forward. The joy seen on the faces of the hardworking individuals at the village level is paramount to me. Your transfers have been executed according to your preferences... now, approach your work with renewed enthusiasm,” expressed Pankaja Munde.
“During my tenure as Minister of Rural Development, I initiated a system for online transfers for teachers, which benefited many who previously struggled to secure their desired positions. I am passionate about making innovative decisions, and hence I have taken this step for the Animal Husbandry Department. Once a decision is made, it remains unchanged -- this policy is here to stay.
