Maharashtra: Fadnavis Approves Initial File, Allocates Rs 5 Lakh Support for Patient

Mumbai, December 5 (NationPress) In a significant move, newly appointed Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday took a decisive step by approving the first file, which allocates Rs 5 lakh in financial aid to Chandrakant Shankar Karhade, a patient based in Pune. This assistance will be disbursed from the Chief Minister’s assistance fund.

During this pivotal moment, Fadnavis was joined by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, who were urged to ensure the administration operates with optimal efficiency.

He stated, “We must work swiftly to meet the expectations of the people. Our goal is to streamline the decision-making process and hasten implementation to promote sustainable development.” This directive was aimed at bureaucrats during the Cabinet meeting.

Upon his arrival, Fadnavis was warmly welcomed by Deputy Chief Ministers Shinde and Pawar, who presented him with a bouquet. Additionally, state chief secretary Sujata Saunik extended her greetings along with the other Deputy Chief Ministers before the Cabinet meeting commenced.

Immediately following his swearing-in ceremony at Azad Maidan, the staff at Mantralaya performed a traditional Aarti for the new Chief Minister and his deputies. The trio also paid respects by laying floral tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji and Rajnath Jihad at the entrance of Mantralaya.

Earlier, Fadnavis had taken the oath of office and secrecy during an impressive ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of NDA leaders.

Additionally, Eknath Shinde, who led the MahaYuti government as Chief Minister for two and a half years, chose to join the Fadnavis-led cabinet as Deputy Chief Minister. He also took the oath alongside NCP president Ajit Pawar, with the state Governor CP Radhakrishnan administering the oath.

In other developments, a special session of the 15th assembly is scheduled to occur in Mumbai from December 7 to 9. During this session, all 288 members will be sworn in, and the Governor will address a joint session on December 9, the same day the new Speaker will be elected. Fadnavis is also set to request a floor test on December 9.

Following this, a winter session is planned from December 16 to 21 in Nagpur, where the government will present supplementary demands.
