Gorakhpur, June 21 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his warm congratulations on the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on Saturday, encouraging the public to integrate yoga into their everyday lives to foster a healthier and more unified community.
Recognized worldwide on June 21st, the International Day of Yoga was first suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 and was quickly embraced by the United Nations, receiving backing from 177 nations. Since its inception, this day has transformed into a global tribute to India's ancient wellness practices.
In a post on X, CM Yogi stated, "Warm congratulations to the citizens of the state and all yoga enthusiasts on this International Yoga Day! Yoga, a priceless legacy of India's Rishi culture, has illuminated the path to mental, spiritual, and physical elevation for the world."

The Chief Minister took part in a special yoga session at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, joining hundreds of participants for the collective practice.
