Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Harsh Malhotra will lead party workers in a city-wide collective listening of the 137th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' radio programme on Sunday, with events organised at more than 6,000 locations across the capital.

Where Malhotra Will Listen

Malhotra is scheduled to tune in at Saini Enclave Park on Bhartendu Harish Chandra Marg in Anand Vihar, East Delhi, alongside members of the local Residents' Welfare Association and BJP workers, according to a party leader.

Broadcast and Streaming Details

The programme will air across the full Akashvani and Doordarshan network, the AIR News website, and the Newsonair mobile app. It will also be live-streamed on the YouTube channels of AIR News, DD News, the PMO, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Akashvani will follow the Hindi broadcast with regional-language versions, an official statement confirmed.

What Happened at the Previous Episode

At the preceding episode on 26 July — which coincided with Kargil Vijay Diwas — Malhotra observed a moment of silence and paid tribute to soldiers martyred in the Kargil War. Speaking to the media afterwards, he described 'Mann Ki Baat' as inspiring and noted that the Prime Minister had paid homage to the martyrs while highlighting India's growing defence capabilities.

Malhotra specifically cited Modi's references to the successful trials of INS Mahendragiri, the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket, and the Kusha missile as examples of the country's advancing scientific and strategic capabilities.

Party Mobilisation Across Delhi

The 26 July episode drew wide participation across the capital. BJP National General Secretary Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Odisha MP Balabhadra Majhi, Yuva Morcha President Rajat Chaudhary, and hundreds of young party workers joined Malhotra for the listening session. According to Rajan Tiwari, State Convenor of the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme, 6,450 such events were organised across Delhi on that date.

Senior party figures also participated in their respective constituencies: Delhi BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Pawan Rana in Outer Delhi; State General Secretary Vishnu Mittal at Delhi Gate Ward; General Secretary Yogita Singh with youth in Kalkaji; and General Secretary Mohan Lal Gihara in Madipur Ward. BJP MPs including Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Bansuri Swaraj, and Swati Maliwal held separate listening events in their areas, with Rajya Sabha MP Alka Gurjar and Satish Poonia joining Swaraj in Sarojini Nagar.

The coordinated rollout underscores the BJP's continued use of 'Mann Ki Baat' as a grassroots outreach vehicle ahead of the next electoral cycle in Delhi.
