New Delhi, March 29 (NationPress) The President of the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Virendra Sachdeva, spearheaded an initiative on Sunday, where party members gathered at 8,250 booths across 6,573 locations to engage with the 132nd episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' radio show, according to a statement from a party official.
In Mandawali village, located in east Delhi, Sachdeva joined local party leaders including Mayur Vihar District President Vijendra Dhama, State BJP Spokesperson Yasir Jilani, and community members to listen to the broadcast.
Union Minister of State and BJP MP for East Delhi, Harsh Malhotra, was present at booth number 14 in Vishwas Nagar Mandal, where he tuned into the programme alongside Mandal President Pawan Kumar and other booth workers.
Northeast Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari participated by listening to the radio show at the residential campus of Delhi University, accompanied by a professor’s family and nearby residents.
Many first-time listeners with BJP's Manoj Tiwari remarked, "This is a treasure of knowledge; we will now be regular listeners."
South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri listened in at Barat Ghar Madangir, while MP Yogendra Chandolia tuned in at Brahman Dharamshala. Other MPs such as Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Praveen Khandelwal, Bansuri Swaraj, and Delhi Minister Ashish Sood also participated from various locations including Nanda Enclave Dwarka and Janakpuri.
According to Rajan Tiwari, who oversees the 'Mann Ki Baat' arrangements for the Delhi BJP, party workers from approximately 8,250 booths gathered to listen to the programme alongside local MLAs, Councillors, and organizational leaders.
State BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor also listened with his staff at the state party office.
Sachdeva emphasized that 'Mann Ki Baat' is a distinctive platform for public dialogue initiated by PM Modi, recognized as one of the longest-running inspirational initiatives by any world leader.
The programme honors and acknowledges people from various sectors, particularly those making significant contributions in challenging circumstances.
Additionally, he noted that the Prime Minister discussed the "Gyan Bharatam Survey," aimed at gathering manuscripts reflecting India's rich cultural heritage.
He remarked that the monthly dialogues foster inspiration and new ideas.
Sachdeva highlighted that this edition particularly emphasized vital national topics such as the Gyan Bharatam Survey, youth engagement (My Bharat), the Ranji Trophy, water conservation efforts, fitness and healthy living, along with solar energy initiatives (PM Surya Ghar Yojana), all aimed at empowering the nation through public involvement.
Union Minister Harsh Malhotra stated that PM Modi showcases individuals from every corner of the nation who, with limited resources, achieve remarkable feats, serving as a source of inspiration for society.
