New Delhi, July 27 (NationPress) - The National President of the BJP and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda took the lead on Sunday, gathering the party's Delhi unit leaders to engage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' radio broadcast alongside veterans.
Nadda tuned into the 'Mann Ki Baat' program at Defence Colony with prominent figures including Vinod Tawde, Baijayant Jay Panda, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Bansuri Swaraj, and retired military officials during an event orchestrated by local MLA Neeraj Basoya.
Moreover, the Delhi BJP arranged for public listening of the program across 14 organizational districts.
Sachdeva commented that PM Modi continuously endeavors to share positive narratives and initiatives from all over the nation through Mann Ki Baat, transforming the program into a movement of the people.
He praised Modi’s emphasis on the rapid advancements in science during the 21st century.
Sachdeva highlighted the recent triumph of Indian students at the International Chemistry Olympiad, where they secured three golds, two silvers, and one bronze at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Australia, a significant source of pride.
In a different setting, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra and Delhi BJP’s Organizational General Secretary Pawan Rana participated in the program in Gharauli, East Delhi, alongside Mayur Vihar District President Vijendra Dhama and fellow party workers.
Previously, the Delhi BJP President honored the three civil services aspirants who tragically lost their lives on July 27, 2024, due to sewer backflow in a coaching center in Rajendra Nagar, and a student who died from electrocution from a hanging wire in Patel Nagar.
Sachdeva attributed these tragic incidents to the negligence and corruption of the Arvind Kejriwal government, which failed to maintain proper drainage and sewer systems in 2024, resulting in the untimely deaths of these four gifted students – Naveen Dalwin, Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nilesh Rai, along with nearly 50 other citizens who perished due to flooding.
The Bharatiya Janata Party had committed in its 2025 election manifesto to address the issue of waterlogging earnestly, and we are pleased that our government has successfully minimized waterlogging.
Sachdeva further noted that the BJP-led Delhi government has vowed to avert similar tragedies in Rajendra Nagar, Patel Nagar, Moti Nagar, Burari, Kirari, and other regions.
“We take pride in the fact that, unlike last year when over 50 lives were lost due to waterlogging in Delhi, no such incidents have occurred this year thanks to the government’s vigilance and preparedness,” he remarked.
