New Delhi, Jan 1 (NationPress) On Wednesday, Mallikarjun Kharge sent heartfelt New Year greetings to the nation, coupled with a powerful message encouraging citizens to reinforce their dedication to inclusive progress, unity in diversity, social justice, equality, and the safeguarding of the Constitution.

Previously, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, also conveyed his New Year wishes, expressing hope that the upcoming year would bring renewed enthusiasm, joy, and happiness to all as the nation embraced 2025.

President Droupadi Murmu also shared her greetings with the nation on New Year's Eve.
In her message, she stated, "On this joyous occasion of the New Year, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all Indians, both domestically and abroad. The arrival of the New Year symbolizes the dawn of new hopes, dreams, and aspirations in our lives. As the clock struck midnight, India welcomed the year 2025 with vibrant celebrations across the nation, as people in numerous cities celebrated the occasion with joy and enthusiasm.
The New Year celebrations kicked off in various cities with parties, cultural events, live music performances, and themed decorations.
In Delhi, popular locations like Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar were thronged with large crowds marking the New Year. To ensure a safe celebration, the Delhi Police implemented prior security measures.
As the New Year commenced, many cities witnessed breathtaking fireworks displays. In Mumbai, beaches such as Juhu Beach, Chowpatty Beach, and Versova Beach were bustling with revelers. People also gathered at Marine Drive to enjoy the fireworks.
