Kolkata, March 7 (NationPress) - Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her heartfelt congratulations to the candidates hailing from West Bengal who successfully passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination for the year 2025.

In a message shared through her X account, CM Banerjee highlighted that approximately half of the top positions have been achieved by female candidates.

“On the eve of International Women's Day, I am thrilled to announce some remarkable news: candidates from West Bengal, trained under our government’s initiative, have excelled in the esteemed UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. Notably, our girls have claimed nearly half of the prestigious top positions, according to the recently released results,” Banerjee stated.

She elaborated that her administration has provided significantly subsidized coaching support to these candidates.

“I extend my congratulations and best wishes to the successful candidates, their families, and educators, and I wish all aspirants the best in their future endeavors. We take pride in having offered subsidized coaching from our Satyendra Nath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre. Establishing this institute during our tenure fills me with pride,” she stated.

The Chief Minister noted that around 11 candidates trained at this study center have made it to the final merit list of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, with nearly half being girls.

“Among those who received coaching from our state government and have achieved impressive rankings are: Diksha Rai (40), Akash Kumar Rai (279), Vaishna Biswas (367), Goutam Thakuri (432), Debjyoti Halder (443), Debabrata Pramanik (467), S. Nived Kumar (486), Mohsina Bano (648), Juhi Das (649), Kirti Chowdhury (760), and Anniela Sherpa (893). They have brought pride to Bengal by securing commendable ranks, enabling their entry into the IAS, IPS, and other elite services,” she remarked.

Banerjee further mentioned that other candidates from West Bengal have also triumphed in this national examination, paving their way into top government services.

“Our unwavering support and dedication have motivated the youth of our state, and this achievement will inspire many others to pursue all-India competitive exams from West Bengal. Kudos to these brilliant young men and women for their accomplishments. The Government of West Bengal stands with you!” Banerjee concluded.
