Upon receiving the alert, police quickly arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspected perpetrator, identified as Neetu Devi, Sudhir’s sister-in-law.
Local residents indicated that Sudhir Kumar often found himself embroiled in conflicts with his sister-in-law and nephew.
These disputes frequently escalated into fights, and this incident marks the latest in a series of ongoing altercations.

The district police retrieved the body and have sent it for a post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital.
Pragya Kumari, the 'Mukhiya' of Pilkhi Gajapati Panchayat, noted that Sudhir Kumar had a history of mental illness and substance abuse.
"Sudhir frequently sold his land while under the influence, and when his family confronted him, it often resulted in arguments that escalated into physical confrontations," Pragya Kumari explained.
Villagers have reported that Sudhir regularly clashed with his sister-in-law, Neetu Devi, and her son.
These long-standing tensions may have played a role in the altercation that occurred on Friday morning.

His partially burnt body was found in the village. The deceased's father claimed that his son was burned alive. The victim’s sister-in-law has been arrested, while the nephew remains at large."
