Patna, April 5 (NationPress) An individual riding a scooty was fatally shot on J.P. Ganga Pathway (Marine Drive) within the jurisdiction of Sultanganj police station in Patna on Friday.
The deceased has been recognized as Mohammad Shahnawaz, a resident of Patna. He was heading towards Gandhi Maidan when he was pursued by two assailants who opened fire at him.
After executing the crime, the perpetrators escaped from the scene. This incident occurred in proximity to the Sultanganj Mosque.
According to eyewitness accounts, unidentified armed individuals on another motorcycle pursued Shahnawaz and shot him in the head.
Shahnawaz collapsed on the street, suffering from grave injuries.

A team from Sultanganj Police Station arrived without delay and transported him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for medical assistance.

We are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the perpetrators. The deceased's post-mortem is being conducted at PMCH,” stated Manoj Kumar, the SHO of Sultanganj Police Station.
