Senior officials from the Border Road Organisation (BRO), including the Additional Director General Border Roads (East) and the Commandant of 25 Border Road Task Force (BRTF), provided the Governor with updates regarding the fencing's progress, crucial operational challenges, and the project's overall efficacy.
They also raised issues concerning security and communication, presenting suggestions to facilitate a quicker and more efficient completion of the outstanding tasks.
The Governor expressed his appreciation for the advancements achieved thus far and assured that the government would extend the necessary support to tackle the concerns highlighted by the BRO.

In June, a high-level meeting was convened by the Manipur Governor alongside Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan to evaluate the ongoing fencing efforts along the India-Myanmar border and the overall law and order scenario in the state.
As reported by a Raj Bhavan official, the meeting explored the progress of border fencing along the International Border as well as the law and order conditions in the state.
Another official indicated that the BRO had intensified its India-Myanmar border fencing initiatives near Moreh in Manipur's Tengnoupal district last year, noting that the fencing work would be executed in phases.
This border fencing initiative is part of the ‘Project Sewak’ led by the BRTF, which is also responsible for road construction in Nagaland and Manipur. The BRTF operates under the BRO.
