Raipur, May 23 (NationPress) A Maoist was eliminated during an armed clash with security forces in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, on Friday.
According to police reports, the Maoist was killed amid an exchange of gunfire, and a search operation is still ongoing in the Kistaram police station area.
Authorities had received intelligence indicating a significant presence of Maoists in the thick forests of Kistaram.
In response to this information, a joint task force consisting of the District Reserve Guard, Special Task Force, and Commando Battalion for Resolute Action was mobilized for a search operation.
