ED recovers ₹32,678 crore in 2025-26, doubles proceeds of crime seizures on 70th foundation day

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 1 May 2025 marked its 70th foundation day by announcing that it had recovered ₹32,678 crore in proceeds of crime during 2025-26 — more than double the amount recovered in the previous year. The agency, founded on 1 May 1956, called the surge a reflection of intensified enforcement actions aimed at strengthening India's economic integrity.
