New Delhi, Sep 16 (NationPress) In line with the popular trend of 'My Modi Story' on social media, numerous BJP leaders, including MPs and state Ministers, have begun to share their personal anecdotes and experiences with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They reflect on cherished moments that will remain with them forever.
As PM Modi approaches his 75th birthday on September 17, the nostalgic recollections from BJP lawmakers serve as a heartfelt tribute to his illustrious public life and significant legacy.
Cabinet minister Parvesh Sahib Singh of the Delhi government shared how a swift decision by the Prime Minister facilitated the establishment of a long-awaited public hospital in Najafgarh, a demand that had been overlooked for many years.
In a post on X, he recounted a conversation he had with PM Modi during his tenure as MP: “When I was MP, the most pressing demand in my Najafgarh constituency was for a government hospital. Although land was already available, for years, no government or MP managed to fulfill it. I approached PM Modi, who listened attentively and asked, 'How many people will benefit from this?' I answered, 'Approximately 3 to 4 lakh people.'
“Remarkably, just a month later, this proposal was greenlit by the cabinet. Today, the hospital is operational, and local residents are benefiting from it. This exemplifies not just governance; it demonstrates sensitivity,” he remarked.
Dr. Dinesh Sharma, BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, shared a touching memory from a BJP national executive meeting that left both him and his wife pleasantly surprised.
He commended the Prime Minister’s skill in remembering faces and names even after long intervals, which fosters a sense of value and respect in others.
In a post on his X handle, he reminisced, “During a BJP National Executive in Goa, I attended with my wife. Although I had known Modi ji since my days as president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Uttar Pradesh, I hadn’t informed him of my marriage. During dinner, I heard him say, 'How are you?'
He continued, “My astonishment grew when he stated, 'Yes, I know you’ve gotten married.' Just as we were about to rise, he asked us to remain seated. With a smile, he added, 'You’ve done well in marrying, but you’ve taken one of my voters from Gujarat to another state.' My wife hails from Gujarat, and Modi ji remembered even that small detail,” he shared.
Viswajit Rane, the health minister of the Goa government, also recounted his own 'Modi Story' experience, highlighting how PM Modi’s warm and inviting demeanor has a calming effect on fellow leaders, making them feel at ease.
He reflected on a previous occasion where he wished to capture a photograph with the Prime Minister, who not only agreed but also ensured he felt comfortable during their interaction.
“His simplicity and charm left me in awe, as I pondered how a leader of his prominence could be so humble and grounded,” he expressed.
“PM Modi even placed his hand on my shoulder and inquired about my father's health. For me, My Modi Story embodies inspiration, dedication, compassion, and the empowerment of citizens—a principle that PM Modi truly represents,” he concluded.
