The talks are anticipated to emphasize enhancing the strategic relationship and diversifying cooperation into emerging and future sectors. The leaders will also share insights on key regional and global issues, according to an official statement from the PMO.
Later, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will jointly launch the India-France Year of Innovation 2026. They will also speak to an audience comprised of business leaders, start-up founders, researchers, and innovators from both nations.
In addition to President Macron, numerous global leaders are expected to attend the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, including Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that the summit is founded on three 'Sutras' -- 'People, Planet and Progress' -- outlining India's framework for international collaboration in the realm of Artificial Intelligence.
The event aims to unite global leaders, policymakers, innovators, and experts to deliberate on the future trajectory of Artificial Intelligence.
At PM Modi's invitation, other notable leaders expected to join the AI Impact Summit include Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, and Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam.
The roster of dignitaries also includes Spanish President Pedro Sanchez Perez-Castejon, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Estonian President Alar Karis, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Kazakhstan Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Liechtenstein Hereditary Prince Alois, Slovakia President Peter Pellegrini, and Switzerland President Guy Parmelin.
Bolivia Vice President Edmand Lara Montano, Guyana Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo, Serbia Vice President Aleksandar Vucic, and Seychelles Vice President Sebastien Pillay are also anticipated to participate in the New Delhi AI Summit.
The MEA has noted that ministerial delegations from over 45 countries will also be present. The United Nations Secretary-General and senior members from various international organizations are expected to engage in discussions.
