Has India Truly Broken Free from ‘Decades of Shackles’ Since 2014?

Dahod, May 26 (NationPress) On the 10th anniversary of his initial swearing-in as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi revisited his home state of Gujarat for a two-day engagement, stirring a wave of nationalist pride while celebrating the legacy of tribal heritage and declaring that India has liberated itself from 'decades of shackles' since 2014.

Addressing a vast audience in Dahod following an enthusiastic roadshow in Vadodara, PM Modi vehemently criticized his political adversaries and celebrated the essence of 'New India' under his stewardship.

Following the success of the Sindoor Samman Yatra in Vadodara, where PM Modi greeted crowds and interacted with the family of martyr Colonel Sophia, he was welcomed in Dahod with an overwhelming reception.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw received him on stage, as dignitaries and local citizens rallied in support of PM Modi.

In a symbolic gesture, the Chief Minister presented the Prime Minister with a statue of freedom fighter and tribal icon Lord Birsa Munda, reinforcing the region’s tribal identity and heritage.

PM Modi was also presented with a commemorative photo frame of Operation Sindoor, a covert military operation he later described as a testament to India’s indomitable military resolve.

The pinnacle of the visit was the Prime Minister laying the foundation stone and dedicating development projects valued at Rs 24,000 crore to the nation. Among these is the highly anticipated Railway Production Unit in Dahod, which will manufacture locomotive engines under the 'Made in Dahod' initiative.

The Rs 20,000 crore endeavor aims to enhance employment and transform the tribal region into a center of industrial innovation.

In an emotionally charged address, PM Modi reflected on the historic day a decade ago when he assumed the role of Prime Minister.

“Exactly ten years ago, I took oath as the Prime Minister of the country. Today, in 2024, I stand before you once again, blessed by the love and trust of 140 crore Indians,” he proclaimed, eliciting loud applause.

He asserted that India had freed itself from 'decades of shackles' since 2014 and is now advancing in every domain.

“We are now hoisting the Tricolour not just in the skies, but also pulling it out of the shadows of despair into the light of hope,” he declared.

The Prime Minister also delivered pointed remarks aimed at his political rivals, referencing Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack.

“Operation Sindoor is not merely a military mission; it’s a reflection of our emotions. Those who orchestrate terror cannot even conceptualize what it means to confront Modi,” he declared to resounding cheers.

Regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, he stated, “When we witnessed those images, our blood boiled. The terrorists didn’t just assault our soldiers — they challenged 140 crore Indians. And I fulfilled the duty entrusted to me as Pradhan Sevak.”

PM Modi recounted that on the night of May 6, Indian armed forces identified nine terrorist camps across the border and obliterated them within a mere 22 minutes, a military achievement he described as “unprecedented in decades.”
