Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday, 10 May for his first visit to Telangana since assuming office for a third term, with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan extending a warm welcome ahead of a packed schedule of development project launches worth over ₹9,377 crore.

Naidu Welcomes Modi at Jubilee Hills Residence

Chief Minister Naidu expressed his delight at hosting the Prime Minister at his personal residence in Jubilee Hills, calling it a memorable occasion. "We are deeply honoured and delighted to welcome Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to our residence today. This is a truly special and memorable moment for our family," Naidu posted on X.

Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is a key coalition partner in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, making the visit politically significant beyond its developmental agenda.

Pawan Kalyan Also Extends Welcome on X

Jana Sena Party leader and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also took to X to welcome the Prime Minister. "Telangana welcomes Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Ji on his visit for the foundation laying of development projects worth ₹9,400 crore," he posted.

Kalyan expressed gratitude toward the NDA government for its focus on infrastructure and connectivity. "My heartfelt gratitude to the NDA Central Government for its commitment towards strengthening infrastructure, connectivity, and economic growth in the State, creating new opportunities for youth and accelerating Telangana's progress," he wrote, adding: "On behalf of Jana Sena Party, I thank PM Modi Ji, for his continued focus on the development of Telangana."

Development Projects and Public Address

The Prime Minister is scheduled to lay foundation stones, inaugurate, and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects cumulatively valued at approximately ₹9,377 crore. The projects span infrastructure, connectivity, and economic development across the state.

Modi is also set to address a public meeting organised by the BJP at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad — a high-visibility gathering expected to draw large crowds given the NDA's coalition strength in the region.

Political Significance of the Visit

This marks Modi's first visit to Telangana in his third term as Prime Minister, lending added weight to the occasion.
