The Prime Minister mentioned that other significant projects set for launch include a National Data Centre for the Northeastern Region, aimed at bolstering digital infrastructure, alongside the introduction of 225 electric buses under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme.
These electric buses are projected to modernize urban transit while encouraging a sustainable and eco-friendly mode of transportation.
Describing it as a moment of “immense joy” for the Northeast, PM Modi will also inaugurate the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Guwahati during this visit.
He stated that this institute would further enhance the educational infrastructure in the region and attract students nationwide, elevating Assam’s status as a hub for higher education.
In the latter part of the day, the Prime Minister will address BJP karyakartas in Guwahati.
Reflecting on the mandate given to the BJP-NDA alliance a decade ago, PM Modi expressed that the government in Assam has diligently worked to meet the aspirations of the people.
