A new book titled 'Modi Katha', authored by journalist and writer Harish Chandra Burnwal, is set to be released at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in New Delhi on 17 September 2026 — coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The book focuses on the humane side of the Prime Minister, portraying his compassion, affection, and sensitivity through real-life accounts and personal recollections spanning 25 years.

What the Book Contains

'Modi Katha' is a collection of 10 true stories that highlight different emotional dimensions of Prime Minister Modi's life and public conduct. Published by Prabhat Prakashan, it is Burnwal's fifth book on Modi, and the author has used simple language and an emotionally evocative storytelling style to present factual accounts in an accessible narrative form. Sources are cited at the end of each story, reportedly to address doubts that may arise from preconceived notions.

Among the accounts featured is a train journey from 1990, in which a young leader's warm and selfless conduct towards two fellow female passengers permanently altered their negative perception of politicians. Another story follows Jeet Bahadur, a teenager from Nepal, whom Modi reportedly nurtured as an ordinary party worker and continued to acknowledge personally even after assuming office.
