Bhopal/Barwani, March 2 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, sent heartfelt greetings to the residents of the state in celebration of Holi on Monday. He emphasized that while citizens should embrace the festive spirit, it is crucial to prioritize safety, uphold law and order, and remain mindful of the ongoing school examinations.
“Holi brings joy and excitement, but we must also consider that important exams are taking place across the state. The outcomes significantly impact our children's futures. Hence, we should balance our celebrations with these responsibilities,” the Chief Minister remarked during a media interaction in Barwani.
The examinations for Classes 10 and 12 commenced on February 13 and are set to conclude on March 6.
Following this, Chief Minister Yadav took part in the traditional Bhagoria festival, which heralds the onset of Holi within tribal communities across Jhabua, Alirajpur, Khargone, Barwani, and Dhar districts. This festival signifies the arrival of spring and draws tourists both domestically and internationally. The week-long festivities are concluding today.
On Sunday night, Chief Minister Yadav convened a meeting with senior police officials, including DGP Kailash Makwana and ADG Intelligence A. Sai Manohar, to assess the law and order situation and Holi preparations. All Range IGs, DIGs, Police Commissioners, and Superintendents of Police participated in a video conference to brief the Chief Minister on the arrangements in their respective areas.
The Chief Minister instructed law enforcement to maintain heightened vigilance during the festivities and to monitor any unexpected incidents closely. He emphasized that all police personnel should ensure strict adherence to maintaining peace and public safety.
Yadav also announced plans for surprise inspections of police stations over the coming days, which will be evaluated based on their operational efficiency and community feedback. He reiterated that all law enforcement actions should be transparent. Given the ongoing school exams, he ordered officials to observe all examination centers and hostels closely.
“We must show the utmost sensitivity during festival times. Our police forces must be prepared for swift action in case of any incidents, and even minor problems should be addressed immediately. Strict adherence to 'dry day' regulations is imperative. All officers have been directed to reinforce administrative measures in their respective jurisdictions,” he stated.
