Bhopal, Oct 17 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to convene a 'Kisan Sammelan' (farmers gathering) at his official residence in Bhopal on Saturday, October 18, as announced by the state government on Friday.
The event is anticipated to draw participation from around 2,500 farmers across various districts, including Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Sehore, Rajgarh, Raisen, and Vidisha.
During the assembly, Chief Minister Yadav will engage with farmers and provide insights about the 'Bhavantar Scheme' set to launch on October 24. This initiative promises to assist approximately 600,000 farmers in Madhya Pradesh.
The state government has introduced this program to shield oilseed farmers from declining mandi prices. Through this scheme, farmers will receive compensation from the government, bridging the gap between the current lower market price and the minimum support price (MSP).
