Bhopal, March 9 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Sunday that the BJP-led government in Madhya Pradesh has crafted its annual budget for the financial year 2025-26, aimed at meeting the aspirations of the populace.

The budget session is set to begin on Monday, with the presentation scheduled for March 12 by Deputy CM and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda.

In a media interaction, Chief Minister Yadav confirmed that all essential preparations have been finalized. He emphasized that the forthcoming budget would serve as a pivotal point in the advancement of Madhya Pradesh.

"The Madhya Pradesh government is dedicated to realizing the dreams of the citizens. The upcoming budget session is poised to be a significant step in the state's development," said the CM.

"We have devised a comprehensive roadmap based on the work accomplished in various departments over the past year. The state government is addressing challenges, hence the budget has been crafted with public aspirations in mind," Chief Minister Yadav remarked.

The 15-day budget session will kick off with an address from Governor Mangu Bhai Patel and will run until March 24. There will only be nine days of sessions, with six days allotted for recess.

The Mohan Yadav-led government is expected to introduce up to five significant bills during this session for discussion and approval from the Assembly.

The state government will present its inaugural full budget in the Vidhan Sabha, starting with the Governor's address. From March 11 to 13, the House will convene to discuss bills.

Proceedings will be suspended from March 14 to 16, with the House reconvening from March 17 to 18. A holiday will be observed on March 19 for Rang Panchami.

House activities will resume on March 20 and 21, followed by another recess on March 22 and 23. The final day of House proceedings will be March 24.

Chief Minister Yadav, along with Chief Secretary Anurag Jain and Assembly Secretary Avdhesh Pratap Singh, reviewed the preparations in a meeting held on Friday.

During this meeting, Chief Minister Yadav instructed officials to ensure that responses to questions and attention motions are fact-based and logically structured for presentation in the House.

He also issued necessary directives concerning pending zero-hour matters, unresolved responses, assurances, and recommendations from the Public Accounts Committee (CAG).

The Opposition Congress is also gearing up to challenge the Mohan Yadav-led government during the budget session. Key issues such as unemployment, crime against women, the state's law and order situations, and farmers' concerns are expected to be highlighted by the Congress in the House.
