Bhopal, Sept 26 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized on Friday that just as Lord Krishna chose to guide the Pandavas in their quest for justice, Indian soldiers showcased unparalleled courage in the Rezang-La battle, valiantly defending our nation from adversaries.
The Chief Minister made these remarks during a memorial event for the heroes of Rezang-La at Atal Path in Bhopal.
He offered prayers at the sacred soil urn from Rezang-La and conveyed the state government's best wishes to those organizing the Kalash Yatra.
"We take immense pride in our courageous Army," CM Yadav stated while paying tribute to the immortal martyrs who laid down their lives in response to the challenge posed by Chinese forces in Rezang-La.
In the Rezang-La confrontation, 120 Indian soldiers successfully neutralized nearly 3,000 Chinese troops. Notably, all 120 soldiers hailed from the Ahir (Yadav) community.
While addressing a gathering of retired military officers, the Chief Minister assured that the state government is fully committed to supporting initiatives that promote patriotism.
Reflecting on the bravery of Kargil war hero and Param Vir Chakra recipient Yogendra Singh Yadav, CM Yadav recounted: "At just 19 years old, despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds, Yogendra Singh Yadav was pivotal in overcoming Pakistani infiltrators during the Tiger Hill battle."
The Chief Minister declared that should a film be produced depicting the valor of the Yadav community, the state government is prepared to provide financial assistance to the filmmaker.
He also acknowledged the feats of individuals such as mountaineer Santosh Yadav, who conquered Mount Everest, and India’s first female locomotive pilot Sulekha Yadav, both of whom have brought honor to the Yadav lineage.
On this special occasion, Yogendra Singh Yadav remarked that the Kalash Yatra symbolizes pride.
