Bhopal, March 27 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the citizens of the state on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, which marks the birth of Lord Ram.
In his message, the Chief Minister emphasized that the essence of Lord Ram's life exemplifies self-discipline, commitment, teamwork, and steadfast adherence to principles, encouraging individuals to challenge injustice with determination and confront difficulties bravely.
“Warm congratulations and best wishes to the residents of Madhya Pradesh on this sacred occasion of Ram Navami,” the Chief Minister expressed on X.
He also noted, “It is indeed a matter of pride for our state that, akin to Ayodhya, both Chitrakoot Dham and Orchha are located here. These revered pilgrimage sites are intrinsically linked to Lord Ram, serving as lasting symbols of the life and legacy of Maryada Purushottam Ram. The ideals of Lord Shri Ram will continue to illuminate the path for humanity.”
Later today, the Chief Minister will travel to Chitrakoot Dham, a sacred town located on the banks of the Mandakini River, which lies on the border of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. This site is historically significant as it is where Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana spent eleven of their fourteen years of exile, making it a deeply spiritual destination filled with ancient temples, tranquil ghats, and lush forests.
Importantly, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Madhya Pradesh has unveiled a comprehensive initiative aimed at the holistic development of Chitrakoot, which includes the refurbishment and enhancement of religious landmarks.
The development project, valued at Rs 5,000 crore, encompasses the establishment of urban forests, the construction and beautification of ghats, road enhancements, river cleansing, and the development of the Parikrama Path, all of which have received approval.
The initial phase of these development efforts, amounting to Rs 2,800 crore, is anticipated to be finalized by April of the following year, as stated by government officials.
