Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana confirmed that recruitment to 7,500 posts of constables, subedars, and sub-inspectors — approved earlier — was nearing completion. An additional 9,662 posts have been approved for recruitment this year.

Makwana said the Hawk Force had played a decisive role in eliminating Naxalism from the state.
