Bhopal, July 20 (NationPress) In a bold venture for diplomacy and investment, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav returned with remarkable achievements from a global campaign aimed at drawing foreign investments under the initiative titled “Udyog Evam Rojgar Varsh 2025.”
The trip was aligned with India’s growing international economic presence under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the goal of establishing Madhya Pradesh as a sought-after hub for global investors.
The endeavor yielded impressive results, securing investment proposals totaling Rs 11,119 crore, which could create over 14,200 jobs within the state, as stated by the Chief Minister upon his return to Bhopal.
In Dubai, the Chief Minister engaged in forums such as the “Invest in MP Business Forum” and the “Friends of MP” summit, where he interacted directly with business leaders, diaspora entrepreneurs, and strategic organizations.
There was strong participation from companies in sectors including infrastructure, defence, hospitality, telecom, and agro-processing. For instance, BNW Developers pledged Rs 2,750 crore for infrastructure projects, while other firms like Conares Metal, Reliance Defence, and Saraf Group made significant commitments. Additionally, Emirates Airlines, Etisalat, Lulu Group, and Tata Sons expressed interest in aviation training, telecom parks, and food processing hubs, thus broadening the scope of strategic collaborations.
Following the Dubai leg, the Chief Minister conducted a roadshow in Spain, visiting Madrid, Barcelona, and La Coruna to strengthen trade and cultural connections. Spain presented a variety of proposals amounting to Rs 4,318 crore, with notable interest in digital infrastructure, fashion, clean energy, and entertainment technology.
Among the significant agreements was a Rs 4,318 crore MoU with Submer Technologies to establish a 1GW AI-ready green data center in Madhya Pradesh. The Roca Group committed Rs 50 crore and 250 jobs in the production of bath products, while NatueBio Food proposed Rs 200 crore for agro-processing.
Meetings with Inditex, Mercabarna, and B-Water Studios showcased MP’s expanding role in sustainable textiles and digital media, with Spanish filmmakers expressing interest in shooting films in Madhya Pradesh.
“We have already secured Rs 30 lakh crore in investment proposals during the Global Investors Summit (GIS), and have successfully attracted investments from other roadshows and events in Indore, Surat, and Ludhiyana, ” he added.
Beyond business discussions, the delegation explored cultural opportunities, signing an international co-production MoU with the Spanish Film Commission and initiating academic collaborations to link IIT Indore and IISER Bhopal with European universities.
“India and Spain will also celebrate a joint cultural cooperation year. We plan to send our groups and invite theirs for a cultural exchange,” the Chief Minister stated.
The Chief Minister also showcased MP’s heritage through curated gifts such as Gond paintings and Zari textiles, fostering a cultural connection with European investors. This outreach not only secured financial backing but also highlighted the importance of innovation, ESG standards, and global cooperation.
Yadav emphasized that these investments symbolize not just financial resources, but also trust, technology, and a mutual vision for sustainable development. With a clear commitment to follow through, the Madhya Pradesh government is now well-positioned to transform these proposals into lasting economic growth.
