Bhopal, Feb 13 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are set to visit Madhya Pradesh from February 23 to 26.
On February 23, Prime Minister Modi will stop at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur district to lay the foundation for a cancer hospital, an initiative by the temple's head priest Dhirendra Shastri.
Later that evening, PM Modi will reach Bhopal and will stay overnight at Raj Bhawan.
On the morning of February 24, he will inaugurate the Global Investment Summit (GIS) in Bhopal, which will see participation from around 4,000 industrialists and business delegates from various countries, including the US, UK, Japan, and Germany.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav confirmed that the state government has sought PM Modi’s inauguration of GIS-2025 and received approval from the PMO.
Union Home Minister Shah is scheduled to attend GIS on February 25 and will address the industrialists during the summit’s closing ceremony.
On February 26, President Murmu will visit Chhatarpur to participate in a mass marriage ceremony at Bageshwar Dham, where 251 girls will be married, including 108 from the tribal community.
In preparation for the GIS, the MP government hosted a curtain-raiser event at Taj Hotel in Delhi, showcasing the state’s new investment policy.
During this event, CM Mohan Yadav engaged in one-on-one and round table discussions with industrialists, inviting them to GIS in Bhopal on February 24 and 25.
He remarked, "I am pleased that we have improved the ease of doing business here. Industrialists are reaping the benefits. Land prices in Madhya Pradesh are significantly lower than in Delhi and Mumbai. During my visit to Japan, I encountered industrialists who recognized the immense potential for the cotton industry in Madhya Pradesh. We have ample water resources, the second-largest land area after Rajasthan, a vast network of highways, and six airports. We assure a 200 percent return on investment. We welcome you all to invest in Madhya Pradesh."
