Shimla, March 9 (NationPress) The President of Himachal Pradesh BJP, Rajeev Bindal, stated on Sunday that J.P Nadda's two-day visit to the state was of immense value.
“Both Jagat Prakash Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have significantly contributed to the development of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, starting from the very beginning. The installation of the PET scan machine, which is utilized for detecting diseases like cancer, marks a pioneering achievement as it is the first of its kind in a governmental institution in Himachal, dedicated to the welfare of the citizens,” Bindal noted in a statement here. He added that a 250-bed Vishram Sadan is currently under construction at a cost of Rs 13.57 crore on the AIIMS campus, designed to assist the underprivileged who require shelter during patient treatment.
Furthermore, he mentioned that Nadda also inaugurated the foundation for a state-of-the-art virology laboratory, costing around Rs 14 crore. “The contributions of Jagat Prakash Nadda have sparked a revolution in the medical sector in Himachal, with medical colleges in Chamba, Hamirpur, and Nahan receiving grants of Rs 265 crore each. Millions of rupees have been allocated to various maternal and child healthcare institutions,” he added.
Bindal remarked that today, Himachal is gaining recognition on the global stage due to the development of four-lane highways, which he attributed to the significant efforts of the Modi government. Additionally, whether it concerns railway development, providing tap water to every home, or any form of assistance for Himachal, the state continually receives backing from the Bharatiya Janata Party at the national level.”
He expressed his disappointment, stating, “Whenever Nadda visits Himachal, Congress leaders resort to their petty politics. They issue unfounded statements that adversely affect the people of Himachal Pradesh. The individual who facilitated the state in receiving Rs 1,786 crore during the natural calamity is being targeted with baseless claims by the Congress leaders.”
The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Nadda, visited AIIMS Bilaspur on March 7 to assess the institute’s progress and review the execution of critical healthcare projects. He toured the institute's facilities and inquired about the availability and functioning of various patient care services.
Nadda laid the foundation stone for the Regional VRDL (Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory), inaugurated the Nuclear Medicine Facility at AIIMS Bilaspur, and an additional Amrit Pharmacy Unit-III at AIIMS Bilaspur. The Union Minister commended the advancements made at AIIMS Bilaspur since its inception, which was established by Prime Minister Modi on October 3, 2017.
