New Delhi, May 29 (NationPress) As the NDA government, led by PM Modi, marks its 11-year milestone in power, Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra commended the Prime Minister's leadership, attributing it to the steadfast support and trust of the populace.
“The people's blessings have propelled us to this point. The citizens of India have continually endorsed PM Modi. His singular aim is to serve our nation, and that dedication has remained unwavering throughout the years. This is the reason we have sustained our governance for such a duration,” Kapil Mishra expressed to IANS.
The BJP also released a statement celebrating PM Modi’s leadership, highlighting that his time in office has been characterized by “significant initiatives, policies, and strategic actions.” PM Modi first took his oath as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, and began his third term on June 9, 2024.
Mishra further commented on the inception of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, a nationwide initiative focused on modernizing Indian agriculture through scientific outreach, sustainable practices, and empowering farmers. He was present at an event in Delhi for this campaign on Thursday.
“Two ministers from Delhi have come to support this campaign. It reflects the central government’s dedication to agriculture and its backing of farmers. Although Delhi has a limited number of farmers, we are here to engage and comprehend the initiative,” he stated.
The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, which commenced on Monday and will run until June 12, 2025, aims to involve around 1.5 crore farmers across various states. The campaign's primary objectives include educating farmers about contemporary agricultural technologies, raising awareness about government schemes, and advising them on the effective utilization of Soil Health Cards for crop planning and balanced fertilizer application.
On the topic of the expulsion of undocumented Bangladeshi migrants, Mishra said, “My only message is for those remaining: they should exit the country.”
Following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in 26 deaths, the Delhi Police escalated efforts to identify and deport illegal migrants. Over the past six months, more than 700 undocumented Bangladeshi nationals have been located. Of these, 470 were discovered residing illegally in the capital, while another 50 were foreign nationals who had overstayed their visas. They were airlifted from Hindon Air Base to Agartala in Tripura and deported through the land border to Bangladesh.
