Patna, Nov 15 (NationPress) On Saturday, leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the citizens of Bihar for providing an overwhelming mandate in the Assembly elections. They emphasized that the election results signify the public's strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's vision aimed at advancing the state's development.
In a significant electoral victory, the NDA surpassed the majority threshold of 122 seats, solidifying its influence over Bihar as the ruling coalition achieved a remarkable triumph.
The alliance, spearheaded by Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), saw a considerable increase in its seat count, largely due to the impressive performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which helped the alliance secure a total of 202 seats.
In stark contrast, the Opposition Mahagathbandhan, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties, faced a significant defeat.
Minister Ashok Chaudhary conveyed his appreciation to voters for their confidence in the collaboration between CM Nitish Kumar and PM Modi, along with the alliance's five partner parties.
In an interview with IANS, he remarked, "This remarkable victory in Bihar symbolizes peace, stability, and progress. Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, the people have reinforced their mandate. We extend our gratitude especially to PM Modi, Chirag, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha. Together, as a united front, we contested and achieved a decisive victory."
JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha expressed confidence from the beginning.
In his conversation with IANS, he stated, "While we could not predict the exact seat count, we were aware that we were moving towards a significant victory. The key reason for this tremendous success is the good governance established over the last 20 years by the Chief Minister in Bihar."
"Moreover, during the past two years, since the NDA assumed power at the Centre, there has been substantial support from the Centre, particularly from the Prime Minister. This double-engine government is the pathway for Bihar to emerge as a leading state, and the people of Bihar believe in this vision," Jha added.
LJP(R) MP Shambhavi Chaudhary characterized the result as a "massive victory".
"In many respects, our entire NDA leadership campaigned on the basis of development. The citizens of Bihar have rejected the notions of 'jungle raj' and 'goonda raj', choosing instead a robust and stable NDA government. The electorate has sent a clear message that the present and future of the state are secure under the NDA's governance," Chaudhary told IANS.
JD(U) State President Umesh Kushwaha reiterated that the alliance had predicted this success.
In his discussion with IANS, he mentioned, "We had confidently stated that we would win. All NDA leaders collaborated effectively, ensuring strong coordination from top to bottom among our workers. The people recognized and valued the initiatives and accomplishments of our leader, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
MLA-elect Shyam Rajak stated that this mandate truly belongs to the people.
He noted in an interview with IANS, "This victory is for the people of Bihar. Those who placed their complete trust in our leader, Nitish Kumar, and the NDA voted based on their performance and opted to re-elect him as Chief Minister. We are thankful to all the voters of Bihar."
LJP(R) candidate from Mahua, Sanjay Kumar Singh, who contested against Tej Pratap Yadav, remarked that the sweeping results indicate that the populace has prioritized development.
Speaking to IANS, he stated, "Across Bihar, the citizens have granted the NDA a decisive majority. This demonstrates their trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and our Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. It is a victory for their vision, policies, and the positive principles they represent. The public firmly believes that this leadership can genuinely usher in development for Bihar."
