New Delhi, May 11 (NationPress) The Ministry of Ayush has officially introduced its Weekly Yoga Podcast, a fresh digital venture facilitated by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY).
This new podcast series was inaugurated by Prataprao Jadhav, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, via his social media channels.
The primary goal of this podcast is to disseminate the timeless teachings of yoga into every home, harmonizing ancient practices with contemporary lifestyles.
As per the ministry, the first episode of the podcast sets the stage for an enlightening journey into the realm of yoga. Designed to captivate listeners, the podcast features engaging discussions, guided practices, and expert interviews, making yoga accessible and relevant for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
This launch follows a notable address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 120th episode of his Mann Ki Baat program on March 30, 2025, in which he highlighted the importance of International Yoga Day and its theme for 2025: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
This theme emphasizes yoga’s contribution to physical, mental, and environmental well-being, aligning with India’s global vision for unity and sustainability.
In the inaugural episode, listeners are invited to partake in a dynamic discussion regarding the essence of yoga and its worldwide influence. The podcast illustrates how yoga, once a revered Indian tradition, has evolved into a global movement for health and harmony.
Additionally, it delves into the philosophical foundations of this year's theme, inspired by India’s G20 presidency and the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — the world is one family.
The episode also highlights the unique significance of this year’s Yoga Day, marking the 10th anniversary of International Day of Yoga observance. To commemorate this milestone, the government has initiated activities along ten signature tracks, collectively providing a practical interpretation of the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth One Health’.
In celebration of a decade of International Yoga Day, the Ministry of AYUSH has also launched 10 Signature Events to honor and broaden the reach of yoga.
