Guwahati, June 14 (NationPress) The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has successfully carried out an eviction operation, resulting in the demolition of 29 unauthorized structures that were illegally occupying railway land, officials reported on Saturday.
NFR's Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Kapinjal Kishore Sharma stated that the NFR has been proactively conducting eviction operations to eliminate unlawful encroachments on railway property throughout its jurisdiction.
As part of its dedication, a collaborative eviction operation was carried out recently between Kamakhya Temple and Guwahati Railway Stations to remove illegal encroachments.
The initiative aimed to clear unlawfully occupied land to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and operational integrity of the railway infrastructure, according to the CPRO.
Sharma revealed that the eviction was executed with the active involvement and cooperation of various departments and security agencies. A total of 10 members from the Railway Protection Force (RPF), 7 members from the Government Railway Police (GRP), 6 police officers from Panbazar and Fancy Bazar Police stations, and 20 staff members from the Senior Section Engineer/Permanent Way department participated in the operation.
