New Delhi, June 22 (NationPress) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a charge sheet against a vital associate of the designated terrorist Lakhbir Singh, also known as Landa, from the outlawed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) group, along with notorious gangster Pavittar Batala, in connection with a Punjab terror conspiracy.
The individual, identified as Jatinder Singh alias Joti, hails from Gurdaspur district in Punjab.
He was apprehended by the NIA in Mumbai on December 23, 2024, under case number RC-21/2023/NIA/DLI.
During the investigation, the NIA uncovered that Jatinder was engaged in the illicit procurement and distribution of firearms from Madhya Pradesh to gangsters based in Punjab.
A press release from the agency on Sunday stated, "Jatinder Singh was instrumental in supplying weapons to the ground operatives of Batala, who is a close ally of the designated terrorist Lakhbir Singh @ Landa. Associates of Batala residing abroad were managing Jatinder’s operations within India. These weapons were utilized by Batala’s operatives in Punjab to further BKI’s criminal and terror activities."
