New Delhi, Jan 20 (NationPress) As BJP leader Nitin Nabin prepares to take on the role of the new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP Bihar State President Sanjay Saraogi remarked on Tuesday that “Nitin from Bihar has now transformed into Nitin for the whole nation.”
In an interview with IANS, Saraogi expressed that this moment is a source of immense pride and joy, especially for the people of Bihar.
“Today marks a very celebratory occasion. Nitin from Bihar has truly become Nitin for the entire nation. He rose as a national leader on December 15 when he was appointed the National Working President. The atmosphere across Bihar is festive, with large screens displaying celebrations in various locations,” he revealed.
He added that the citizens of Bihar are celebrating this achievement with enthusiasm.
“The happiness here is palpable. Although Holi is still weeks away, it feels like Diwali is being celebrated throughout the state. This signifies the start of a new chapter for the party,” Saraogi stated.
Emphasizing Nitin Nabin’s leadership capabilities, he highlighted that support for him has been unanimous from the top leaders across various states.
“We have known Nitin Nabin for years, and he has consistently executed his responsibilities with dedication and excellence. Under his guidance, the BJP is assured of reaching new heights,” he told IANS.
Saraogi also mentioned that the party remains committed to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047'.
“This is indeed a joyful day for all BJP members,” he concluded.
Earlier today, BJP leader Nitin Nabin visited multiple religious sites for blessings before officially taking charge as the new National President.
In the early hours, Nabin, who is currently the National Working President of the BJP, visited the Jhandewalan Temple to offer his prayers.
He also prayed at the Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place and the Prachin Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir at Mandir Marg, near Gol Market.
Nabin continued his spiritual journey at the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara seeking blessings before his formal assumption of office later today.
Meanwhile, celebrations are taking place outside the BJP headquarters, which has been adorned to welcome the new president.
Strict security measures have been implemented as well.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several senior party leaders are scheduled to attend the swearing-in ceremony. The event is anticipated to gather BJP Chief Ministers, national office bearers, state unit presidents, and members of the party's national executive committee.
On Monday, the BJP announced Nitin Nabin as the sole candidate for the National President position following the conclusion of the nomination and scrutiny process, facilitating his unchallenged election as the party's 12th national chief.
In an official statement released late Monday, National Returning Officer K. Laxman confirmed that only one candidate, Nitin Nabin, remained in the contest after the nomination process and withdrawal period ended.
The Returning Officer also confirmed receipt of 37 sets of nomination papers supporting Nabin, all of which were validated post-scrutiny.
No withdrawals were made, nor did any other candidates submit nominations.
Nabin, aged 45, who was appointed as the National Working President on December 14 of last year, has garnered overwhelming support from the BJP's top brass, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and outgoing President J.P. Nadda.
