Mumbai, Jan 20 (NationPress) Actress Sobhita Dhulipala has shared insights regarding her role in the forthcoming Telugu suspense thriller “Cheekatilo”, indicating that her character, Sandhya, is not in pursuit of drama but rather clarity.
In this gripping narrative set in the bustling city of Hyderabad, Sobhita portrays Sandhya, a true crime podcaster. The film, Cheekatilo, is a thrilling ride that chronicles Sandhya's unwavering quest for truth, revealing some of the city’s most harrowing and concealed truths.
Elaborating on Sandhya's motivations and her drive for justice, Sobhita remarked, “I view Sandhya as a natural leader, not due to her lack of fear but because she doesn’t allow uncertainty to dictate her choices.”
“Her quiet decisiveness stems from a desire for clarity instead of validation, which ultimately propels the narrative forward,” she continued.
Reflecting on her interest in embodying a true crime podcaster and the moral complexities involved, she stated: “What captivated me was the inherent responsibility tied to this role. Cheekatilo is helmed by Sharan Kopishetty, produced by D. Suresh Babu under the Suresh Production Pvt Ltd banner, and penned by Chandra Pemmaraju and Sharan Kopishetty.
The film is slated for release on Prime Video on January 23.
Regarding Sobhita, she made her acting debut in Anurag Kashyap's Raman Raghav 2.0 back in 2016 and later took on the lead role in the Amazon Prime Video series Made in Heaven.
